The Biological Evolution of Modern Endodontics

Modern endodontics tolerates no compromises: materials must be biocompatible, bioactive, and clinically predictable. Bioceramic cements based on calcium silicates meet these requirements with chemical and physical properties that no traditional endodontic cement can match—so much so that they now represent the gold standard for all major clinical indications in root canal treatment.

How Precibio Bioceramic Cements Work

Precibio bioceramic cements act through a cascade of biological reactions triggered by contact with tissue fluids. The particles of calcium silicate react with water in the dentinal tubules to form calcium hydroxide, which dissociates into Ca²⁺ and OH⁻ ions.
Hydroxide ions raise the pH to values ≥12, creating an alkaline environment with bactericidal action. Calcium ions, reacting with CO₂ in the blood, produce calcium carbonate (calcite), which, together with the elevated pH, stimulates the secretion of fibronectin and triggers the processes of hard tissue formation and tissue regeneration.

Precibio
Sealer

Precibio Sealer is a bioceramic filling cement, ready to use, that offers significant advantages over traditional cements: it is easy to use since it requires no mixing, thereby preventing incorrect dosages; thanks to its special syringe, equipped with a very thin and flexible applicator, it simplifies direct placement in the root canal, ensuring significant savings in time and material.

Reasons to Use Precibio Sealer

Ready to use
No mixing required—no waste

Optimal flow
Facilitates flow even in lateral, accessory, and recurrent canals, as well as in the apical delta, ensuring a three-dimensional seal

0.5g syringes
No risk of premature hardening of the product. Can be placed directly into the canal thanks to the thin, flexible plastic needle

High percentage of calcium silicate filler (>40%)
High bioactivity. Improved antimicrobial properties. Lower solubility

Precibio
Repair

Precibio Repair is a ready-to-use bioceramic repair cement. A special syringe, equipped with a screw-type plunger, facilitates extrusion and precise dosing, allowing for direct application at the site and simplifying procedures while saving a significant amount of time.

Reasons to Use Precibio Repair

Ready to use
Requires no mixing and facilitates curing. Precise dosing thanks to the screw-type syringe

Putty-like consistency
Easy to condense directly into the cavity. Repairs and regenerates.

0.5g syringes
No risk of premature hardening of the product. Screw-type plunger facilitates extrusion and precise dosing

High percentage of calcium silicate filler (>40%)
High bioactivity. Improved antimicrobial properties. Lower solubility

Precibio
Temp

Precibio Temp is a premixed bioceramic cement, developed to provide effective temporary protection of the root canal during the intermediate stages of endodontic treatment.

Thanks to its low solubility, it remains in contact with the root canal walls for an extended period, during which the continuous and gradual release of hydroxyl (OH) ions helps raise the pH of the surrounding tissues, making the environment unsuitable for bacterial growth.

Its special formulation facilitates removal and repositioning if necessary, until the end of the temporary treatment.

Reasons to Use Precibio Temp

Ready to use
No mixing required—no waste

Gradual and prolonged release of calcium ions
Does not require constant repositioning.

0.5g syringes
No risk of premature hardening of the product. Can be placed directly into the canal thanks to the thin, flexible plastic needle

Controlled curing
Quick and easy to remove

High radiopacity
Improved radiographic visualization
